How do you determine the nominal size of a monitor?

Measure the diagonal size of the monitor. Make sure you measure the illuminated LCD display and not the housing around it. Then convert the centimeters into inches. (2.54cm = 1 inch) Example: 20.3cm = 8”

PS: The special character “ is the usual abbreviation for inches.
