With the KVX200, Ampire is launching a new rear view camera on the European market that has been specially developed for use on vans, box trucks, and motorhomes. The well-known problem is that rear view cameras cannot easily be mounted on vehicles with rear doors. If you use a conventional mounted camera, you can point it downwards, but the rear of many vehicles curves slightly upwards. A normal rear view camera would capture this curvature and thus obscure the trailer coupling, the running board, or the bumper.
With the special housing of the rear view camera, the camera module itself is positioned beyond the curvature and thus captures the entire rear wall, bumper, etc. Only then is precise maneuvering possible, especially when only a few centimeters are involved. The camera module can be adjusted at an angle and can thus be perfectly adapted to the conditions of your vehicle. Suitable for universal roof mounting on vans and buses such as Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Fiat Ducato, Volkswagen Crafter, and similar vehicles.
