Advantages from the end user's point of view
The connected video sources can be selected directly using the remote control (in comparison, the video sources can only be switched through one after the other using the external keypad supplied with the interfaces). In addition, the end user has the option of calling up the OSD menus for the individual inputs and changing the settings.

Advantages from the point of view of the installer
The remote control can be used to conveniently open the OSD menu of the respective video input and change the settings without having to manually operate the recessed keypads on the back of the interface box. If the remote control is installed in the vehicle, subsequent changes to the settings are also possible without any problems, even if the interface box was installed inadvertently.
